OSLYG is made up of teen’s grades 7-12th, adult leaders, and adult volunteers. General youth group night is every Wednesday 7:00-9:00. With other events, day’s and time’s will vary. Bible Studies, retreats, servant events, theme fun nights, etc. are some of the group activities with the focus ALWAYS being on Christ and LCMS teachings.

Youth Group- OSLYG jr & sr. high youth group nights are every Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 pm (unless noted ex. holidays). It doesn’t matter if you are a member of OSL or not and friends are ALWAYS welcome. We meet for spiritual challenges, fun, fellowship, and service. Every week it is different!  The YMLT (Youth Ministry Leadership Team) understands the importance of keeping age groups separate and just because they meet on the same night doesn’t mean jr. & sr. highers will always be together. During the Church Advent & Lent season (the time before Christmas and Easter) we attend the church service at 7:00 and then hang out afterwards till 8:30. Monthly calendars of activities are mailed to all youth on “the list” and they are also on our Youth Booth in the church lobby. Other monthly activities may include retreats, fun outings, concerts, and more. OSLYG also sponsors several events for the church throughout the year including: Advent Evening of Fun, Midweek Spaghetti supper, Easter breakfast, Youth Led Worship Sundays, and a special All Saint’s Sunday celebration.

Peer Ministry Retreat

Feb. 18-21, 2011 for any current 10th and 11th graders. It is a weekend where you learn how to minister to your peers. This training looks great on resume’s and college applications! For more information & application see youth booth when date gets closer.

NYG (National Youth Gathering)

We have returned from New Orleans! Every 3 years the LCMS gathers thousands of teens together for an AMAZING gathering. This year the total count was around 25, 000! 2013 NYG will be in SanAntonio Texas!
